Board of Directors Meeting
Jon Lux, Chairman, called the regular meeting of the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors to order Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 8:04 AM. Board members present; Jon Lux, Harry Gibbs, Hope Hisle-Piper, and Larry Gaddes. Lora Weber and Mason Moses were absent. Quorum declared.
Some of the District’s management staff were in attendance.

2023 Budget Workshop
2023 Budget Review
Lankford reminded the Board that they had reviewed the District’s budget thoroughly at their meetings over the past couple months and that during today’s meeting the public hearing would be conducted.
Public Hearing on 2023 Proposed Budget
Lux opened the public hearing on the 2023 proposed budget. There were no public comments. The public hearing was closed.
Approval of 2023 Budget (Resolution #2022-04)
Hisle-Piper made a motion for approval of the 2023 budget as submitted with a 4% merit salary increase for employees: for a total budget amount of $11,827,200. Gibbs seconded. The motion carried.
Board Agenda Additions for Future Meeting
There were no agenda additions.
Board Announcements
Gibbs announced that he had been asked to speak on a panel for the Chief Appraisers Institute regarding Board of Director and Chief Appraiser relations. He indicated that this presentation was well received. It was also announced that Gibbs had been asked to speak at the TAAD Conference regarding Chief Appraiser succession planning and hiring.
The Board had previously set their next meeting dates as follows:
- Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
- Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 9:00 AM.
The regular meeting adjourned at 8:11 AM.
