Virtual Hearing Procedures

Procedures for virtual meetings are subject to change without notice. Please refer to this page on the day of your hearing to ensure you are following the latest virtual hearing procedures.

If you select to schedule a virtual hearing, you will not be able to have a phone or an in-person Appraisal Review Board Hearing, formal hearings will be done through RingCentral

You should prepare for your virtual meeting by clicking the link below. You will be prompted to download a small meeting launcher application and have an opportunity to test your computer audio.

This is for preparation purposes only. On the day of your hearing, you will complete the “Check In” form here. As Appraisers become available, you will be assigned to an Appraiser for a breakout room for an informal hearing.

Provide your name, email, and which department you are working accounts with. An appraiser will reach out to you directly.



The process for virtual hearings will be as follows:

  • Check-in to your hearing no more than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time on the date you are scheduled by completing the “Check In” form here.
    • QuickRef ID can be found on your Notice of Appraised Value or in our Property Search.
    • Please note, this is a queue check-in system. Calls will not be accepted, nor will questions be answered via SMS/text message.
    • The WCAD host is available via the chat button if you have any questions while you wait for an available appraiser.

    • You will need to know your QuickRef ID, which can be found on your Notice of Appraised Value or in our Property Search.
    • QuickRef ID will be “R” followed by six digits. Example: R123456
    • Please note – This is a queue check-in system. Questions about your property will not be answered via chat box in the waiting room.
  • When an appraiser becomes available, you will be transferred to a private virtual hearing room.
  • If you and the appraiser cannot reach an agreement and you choose to move forward with an Appraisal Review Board (ARB) hearing, you will be placed in a virtual ARB waiting room. When a panel becomes available to hear your protest, you will be transferred to a private virtual meeting room.
