The Williamson Central Appraisal District posts a vast number of open records on this website to promote open government, including the District’s appraisal plan, financial budget, and other beneficial information. We highly recommend these tools and services to make it easier to access public information records.
The Texas Public Information Act gives the public the right to request access to government information. All persons who request information must do so in writing and include enough description and details of the information, allowing the governmental body to accurately identify and locate the information which you are requesting.
The request must be for records or information that already exists. The Public Information Act does not require a governmental body to create new records, perform legal research, or to answer questions.
