Dear Williamson County Appraisal District,
It is so heartening when we receive a gift from a generous donor, like you Williamson County Appraisal District, that allows us to continue empowering our community volunteers to advocate for our most vulnerable population, children who have experienced abuse and neglect. We want to thank you so much for support!
In our Fiscal Year 2022 Annual Report, we talked about how foster care isn’t fair, the hardships and trauma these children face today and into the future. And while that can seem overwhelming, we are excited about the work we are doing to build hope, make connections, and help promote bright futures for the children in our community.
Daisy (age 16), Tessa (age 15), and Jerome (age 14) grew up very close in their household and depended on each other emotionally, socially, and physically before entering foster care as they rarely ventured out of their home. They didn’t attend school and relied on each other as their main support. Severe abuse and neglect were noted by police when they were removed from their biological parents. As their time in foster care progressed, all three children were in different placements. CPS, CASA, kids’ attorney and all foster families knew the importance of keeping the tight connection between the siblings while in CPS care. It was worth the effort as all three teens were adopted into one family in June. This was a very happy ending for these wonderful children. Not a dry eye in the courtroom!
As our County continues to grow, so does the need for our services. Because of you, CASA of Williamson County is able to build hope, make connections, and help promote bright futures. Your gift will be used wisely to support those children in our community.
CASA of Williamson County Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, with the taxpayer identification number of 26-4371605. This letter affirms that you received no goods or services in exchange for your donation of $1,000.00 received on 12/15/2022.
