
Catherine Totty was appointed Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector in 2026 after more than 25 years of experience in banking and financial services, including extensive experience in customer service, operations, compliance, and leadership. Throughout her career, she has been committed to helping individuals and families navigate important financial decisions while building strong relationships through professionalism, integrity, and service.
Catherine has worked in Williamson County since 2001 and has proudly called the county home for more than 11 years. She and her husband, Scott, chose to build their lives in Williamson County because of its strong communities, excellent schools, and the values shared by the people they have come to know as friends and neighbors. Together they have one son, Andrew.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from the University of Houston–Victoria and has served as a Texas Realtors Continuing Education Instructor, sharing her industry knowledge with real estate professionals across Texas. Catherine is also an active member of multiple civic organizations and believes in giving back to the community she serves.
As Williamson County continues to grow, Catherine is committed to providing residents with efficient, accurate, and accessible services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. She believes public service is about earning the trust of the community through accountability, innovation, and respect, and is honored to serve the county she proudly calls home.
