New Property Purchase Express Review

For 2017, the “Express Review” option will be available to property owners/agents who may wish to alleviate the time spent for travel, work absence, or waiting to meet with an appraiser at the Williamson Central Appraisal District.

This may be accomplished with the use of an Email to our review center that will direct your inquiry to the appropriate department for consideration of your request.

This program will be available to residential or vacant land owners who:

  1. Purchased property in 2016 or 2017 and can Email a valid settlement statement to ExpressInquiry@wcad.org
  2. Have a valid return Email address

If the above mentioned requirements are met and the notice of appraised value you received is higher than the purchase price of the property, you may Email the settlement statement to ExpressInquiry@wcad.org by May 24th. The review will be processed timely, with a response to the property owner in 5 working days, of the district’s findings regarding a change in the noticed value. If you agree with the district’s findings, an Agreement Response from you with your current Email address will initiate the change to the proposed value, constitute a waiver of Protest, and the findings will be entered into the district’s system for the current tax year.

If you do not agree with the district’s findings, you will still have the right to file a notice of protest by the district required methods. All notices of protest must be postmarked, hand delivered to the appraisal district, or submitted through the online protest webpage by the date indicated on the notice of value. Correspondence through the provided Email address will NOT constitute an appropriately filed protest.
