Lora Weber is a longtime public-sector executive, small business owner, and community leader.

Lora enjoyed a long career as an executive with several state agencies encompassing everything from public utility regulation to business licensing to higher education. She is the successful leader of organizations with diverse, complex mandates, and multi-state operations as well as of small business, having co-owned MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery in Round Rock for over 14 years.

Lora has served on national boards including the Verizon Consumer Advisory Board and the National Consumers League. Locally, she has served as chair of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and of the Round Rock Economic Development Advisory Committee. She currently serves on the Economic Development District for the Capital Area Council of Governments and the Round Rock YMCA Board of Directors. Perhaps her greatest volunteer passion is singing once a week for patients and their families at Hospice Austin Christopher House.

Lora holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and political science. She and her husband, Jay, love living in Round Rock, but try to spend as much time as possible scuba-diving all over the world.
