Larry Gaddes served in the property tax profession nine years before taking office as the Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector in January of 2017. Larry is a registered PCAC (Professional County Assessor-Collector) and is one of only nine in the State of Texas that has earned the designation of CTA (Certified Tax Administrator). As a member of Tax Assessor/Collectors Association and Texas Association of Assessing Officers, Larry has served the TAAO Capital Chapter as trustee, Vice President, and President and is a certified instructor for TACA.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Management from Texas State University-San Marcos where he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas State Alumni Association. Go Bobcats! Before entering the property tax profession, Larry served 20 years in leadership roles throughout Central Texas with HEB.

Larry enjoys living in Round Rock, TX with his beautiful wife Heather, two handsome boys, Parker and Peyton, and their dachshund, Rudy.

Understanding The Property Tax System

Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.
